Personal Training
Why come
It’s all about you. There’s nothing like being able to benefit from your trainer’s complete and undivided attention, with your own totally personalised workout. For 55 minutes you are one-on-one with an experienced Trainer, who will work with you to help you define and achieve your body’s optimal shape and performance.
Both our Notting Hill and Chiswick premises have their own dedicated PT Studios, each with a range of cardio, weight training and Reformer equipment. Enabling us to create a programme based on or off our Reformer beds. And to select from - or combine - all three disciplines to create a uniquely flexible, genuinely bespoke programme, designed specifically to meet your needs and goals.
There are many different reasons why you might choose to have a PT session.
For beginners
It’s a great start to your Dynamic Pilates experience; a more individually-focused introduction to the workout, helping you become comfortable with the use of the equipment faster, and enabling you to see the resulting improvements in conditioning and posture all the sooner.
You will be expertly guided in the use of the Reformer; the postural correction and rehabilitation skills of our Trainers means you will develop the correct techniques faster, learning how to activate your core stabilising muscles properly and finding yourself using muscles that you never thought you had.
The individual attention means that you’ll quickly become familiar with the reformer and the techniques, helping you feel more confident as and when you’re ready to join the group classes.
Off-Reformer training
A programme based around cardio or weight training makes a great way to complement your Reformer classes, and helps ensure your workouts remain interesting and challenging. Cross training is an excellent way to maintain motivation and improve all-round fitness.
Sports-specific training
Whatever your sport, Dynamic Pilates is a great way to build the functional flexibility and core stability that can help to protect your body against injury. Whatever your sport, whether you’re into triathlons, rugby, football, tennis, or just off for a week’s skiing, a few Personal training sessions can be a really effective way to prepare your body, not just to resist the stresses and strains of your chosen sport, but also to perform better.
Postural Analysis
Part of your Personal Training programme, this free 10-20 minute session allows us to map your posture against where it should – and could – be, and to identify areas of weakness and potential injury.
Pre & post-natal
Pregnancy and childbirth are a time of significant change for the body. And whether you’ve just welcomed a new addition to the family or you’re expecting one, there’s no better way to cope with the stresses on your body than by improving your core stability, strength and overall fitness.
We will create and guide you thorough a safe, personalised programme specifically designed to biomechanically retrain your muscles to respond to the changes your body is undergoing. By helping them activate properly and in the correct sequence, you can cope more easily with the rigours of labour and childbirth, and the demands of the months to follow.
Back pain
If you have ever suffered - or are suffering - from back pain, a PT session is the best way to learn how to correct any abnormal postural habits that may be contributing to the problem and to help you learn to the correct way to activate the muscles that will help you on the way to a healthy spine.
Rehabilitation
A Personal Training programme is a really effective way to help your body recover from injury. Your trainer will work with you to create a programme tailored to your specific needs, and that will help support and strengthen the injured area.
In addition, the one-on-one attention means that your techniques and levels of effort are monitored constantly to ensure that everything you’re doing is helping the injury rather than aggravating it inadvertently.
A change is as good as a rest
If you’d like to add a bit of extra variety to your classes, feel you’ve hit a bit of a ‘plateau’ in your training, or are looking for a new way to push yourself and stay motivated, why not try a few Personal Training sessions?
Your Trainer will asses your specific strengths and capabilities, to design and work with you through a custom workout on or off the Reformer that will get your heart rate up, your core rock solid and help you push past your old limits of flexibility, strength and endurance.
